I really liked this story but there were a few things that bothered me. First off, it was a bit wordy at times. I found myself skipping entire pages. Way too many details that were entirely unnecessary. Secondly, after she is saved, the people responsible are never mentioned again. Huh? Not one word like "we're looking for them and can't find them" or "they must be hiding out". Nothing. Not until the very end is the person seen and/or mentioned again. I kept waiting to hear what was going on. How could you not bring it up? Lastly, the last two chapters should not have been in the two point of views that they were. No offense, but no one cares about them and it seems like you're leading into another book with them, but I feel cheated out of the H/h's point of view. I have a problem with books that start becoming focused on the next book instead of the one I'm reading. I was going to give this four stars but I'm getting more annoyed as I write this, so I'm going with three.Product details

Went with a 4 rating since the writer is a newbie. I agree that there are some problems with the writing and editing, but I Think she will be a good author by the time she has a few more books under her belt. Her book has some good bones, so to speak and I am sure it will improve with tme. I hope we as readers don't discourage her and that she gets alot out of the reviews without giving up. The plot and characters were good.
Burnt is the first in an M/C series that I purchased, as it was the first, and the others were available for free through my Unlimited membership. The story lines are all excellent, and I will read future books. However, the misspelling of numerous words, mixing up names of characters and the horrible grammar and lack of punctuation lead me to believe an additional editor is needed. Again, the story lines are excellent and I would have given this 5 stars had the editing been greatly improved.
Burnt has a well formed storyline. A lot of twist and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Kendall and DeClan are characters I loved but all the supporting characters make this story great. The sizzle factor is set to steamy. Loved every minute of it and this is a great start to a one click series for me.
This Book has everything but most of all it has a love that takes your breath away. Perfect MC novel and I hated that it ended. Declan and Kendall grew up together as club kids, they were meant to be together but their path is forked by betrayal when Dec is forced into marriage with an unplanned pregnancy. Finally freeing himself he is able to claim the woman that has always been his, but even that brings tragedy. This story is complete but ends with a cliffhanger setting the stage for the next book, can't wait!
Overall I liked this book. There are some things I think would have made the book better, ie. the h having some self respect and not allowing the H & his wife to literally walk all over her for years-the editing and grammar errors fixed-having more interactions between characters instead of each of their POV-not leading into the next book & instead giving a strong ending for the current one-cliff hanger was not needed. I liked that the h was such a nice, sweet, & forgiving person but I think this pushed her beyond saint status. I liked the story line, how well the main & secondary characters were developed, the twists in the story that keeps it interesting, & it was a great read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is about Declan and Kendall. They grew up together in the MC and were best friends. He fell in love with her when he was 9. She fell in love with him at a young age too but of course they kept it to themselves. The beginning of the book had me in stitches when Declan asked Kendall's Mom if all women liked to have their p**** eaten. He was 8 and thought his dad was eating a cat after hearing a lady friend of his dad's yell out. So freaking funny. Declan and Kendall do everything together until a girl comes between them. He says some horrible things to her to protect her but their friendship is over after that. They still love one another though. Got to say Declan was pretty hot. He was a dirty mouthed alpha and well endowed. There is a HEA for them but lots of things happen to Kendall before this happens. I was a little disappointed that there was not an epilogue to wind up their story but I understand why based on what happened at the end of the book. There are some bonus chapters at the end and I just hope the author is planning to write this story about Alexis and Glock.
I'm on to book 2 of this series. Highly recommend the book.
I really love MC books and this one did have a ton of interesting characters and some funny parts to go along with the raunchy and violent ones. However, I had a problem with lack of punctuation and long paragraphs of description that occured after someone would ask a question and then it took two pages before the other character would answer. SO frustrating because this could have been a really good book if this new author had help to edit her book.
Several characters introduced in this first book will have future storylines because we were left with a cliffhanger at the end and a child grows up (fast forward 14 years) to become more than a friend in the eyes of her BF and protector. I really wanted to know why some rival bikers were not dealt with before the story ended as well and seemed to have been swept under the rug.
An ok biker romance (it was free at the time I got it) that had potential to be so much more and I really hope the next one in the series has some of these issues fixed.
I'm giving this one a 4 for story but a 3 for editing, grammar and lack of dialogue. Hardcore biker readers will want to grab it while it's free and give it a chance regardless of the problems, just for the fun of it.
